inspiration ~ transpiration intends, through its title, to situate the creative processes within the social and material environment of the artist, understood as its work ecosystem. The show addresses the condition within which young and emerging artists work : precarious conditions of production, collaborative endeavours, ever- shifting situations of exhibition. The exhibition aims to show the pendulum dynamics, from the collection and sourcing of raw materials and datas (inspiration), to its sweaty and singular precipitation into an agregated form (transpiration). The project was born of an invitation from a collective, (LA)HORDE to another, Le Syndicat Magnifique, underlying the importance of collective work for a new generation of cultural workers.

inspiration ~ transpiration annonce, par son titre, l’intention d’inscrire les processus créatifs dans un environnement matériel et social de l’artiste, entendu comme écosystème de travail. L’exposition se donne comme point de départ la prise en compte des différents facteurs qui informent le travail des jeunes plasticiens : conditions matérielles précaires, formes collaboratives à différentes échelles, dispositifs de plus en plus ouverts et variés de monstration et de déploiement. L’exposition cristallise ce mouvement de balancier, qui lie la collection de données et de matières à leur sudation glaireuse en un précipité artistique singulier. Le projet est né de l’invitation d’un collectif, (LA)HORDE (Marine Brutti, Jonathan Debrouwer et Arthur Harel) artistes associés à la Maison des Arts, à un autre, Le Syndicat Magnifique, composé de trois commissaires d’exposition et d’une artiste, et insiste sur l'importance des pratiques collaboratives pour une génération de jeunes travailleur.euse.s culturels.
